Shambhu Das was born in 1950. He graduated from the Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship under Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. His favourite medium is watercolour on paper in which field he is rated amongst the top 10 artists in India.
He has over the past three decades developed a distinct style of his own. He is constantly experimenting with and mastering new techniques of producing works of aesthetics in both drawings and watercolour paintings.
Shambhu Das has exhibited his works widely all over India and won numerous prestigious awards.
His works are to be found in many private and corporate collections all over India, in U.S.A. and Europe. One of his works has even found mention in the catalogue of Sotheby’s in London. |
