Born in 1953, Lalit Sharma inherited his traditional art background from his father, Ghanshyam Sharma, a master of traditional miniature painting.
After his M.A. in Drawing and Painting at the University of Udaipur, 1975, Lalit Sharma participated in a great number of exhibitions and shows and won several prestigious awards such as the “All India Award” from AIFACS on the 50 years of the Independence Day in New Delhi, 1997. His artworks can be found amongst numerous collections in India as well as abroad.
